Toccobird Drawing Markup support

Availability, devices and languages

Toccobird Drawing Markup is being prepared for release on iPhone and iPad, with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. The app supports English and Simplified Chinese. Public availability and final purchase pricing have not yet been announced.

The interface follows the system language or the language selected for the app in iOS Settings. Changing the interface language does not translate your drawings, notes or photo captions.

A drawing will not import or appear in search

Check that the file is a PDF, JPEG or PNG and that it is available locally through Files. If the PDF is locked, obtain a readable copy from its owner. Note the file type, size and any displayed error when contacting support.

Drawing search uses an existing PDF text layer. Scale recognition can use on-device OCR, but it does not turn scanned sheets into a full-text searchable library.

A scale is missing or a measurement looks wrong

Open the page scale controls and retry recognition, select a candidate or calibrate using a known two-point distance. Review the units, revision and paper dimensions. Cropped, resized, photographed or mixed-scale drawings need particular care.

Automatic recognition may miss small, blurred or handwritten scale labels. It does not correct camera perspective. Confirm the result against a known dimension before using a measurement.

Camera access and LiDAR capture

Allow camera access in iOS Settings to take site photos. You can also attach a photo through the system photo picker. LiDAR capture requires a compatible device; manual site records and drawing tools remain available without LiDAR.

Sharing, PDF compatibility and moving devices

If an editable PDF looks different in another viewer, try a flattened PDF to keep the exported appearance fixed. Check the selected page range and photo-page option, and preview the generated PDF before sharing.

To move editable project records to another device, export and restore a .toccobirdbackup package. Restoring a purchase restores access, not your drawing library. Keep your own backup before removing the app or changing devices.

Trial access and restoring a purchase

The app is designed around an optional seven-day full trial and a one-time full-version purchase. The trial starts when you claim it and does not automatically charge you when it ends. Availability and prices will be shown through the App Store when released.

After trial expiry, existing records remain available to view, search, export, back up, restore and delete. New imports and editing require full access. Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account if your purchase is not recognized; restoring does not restart the trial. Purchase access is specific to Toccobird Drawing Markup.

Email support@ioncreate.com with your app version, device model, iOS or iPadOS version, the steps that caused the issue and the exact error message. A screenshot or a small sample file can help when you are comfortable sharing it.

Remove confidential drawing details and personal information that are not needed to explain the issue. Do not send your Apple Account password or payment details.
